El premio MCBA es el primer premio que reconoce a las artes de libro a lo largo de sus diversos aspectos creativos al rededor de mundo. El premio MCBA celebra el arte de libro y fomenta su discusión sin limitar su reconocimiento a un solo aspecto en este campo creativo.

El jurado estará formado por tres distinguidos expertos en las artes de libro. Ellos revisarán los trabajos recibidos y seleccionarán a los cinco finalistas. De entre los cinco finalistas, se elegirá al ganador de este año. Los cinco trabajos finalistas serán exhibidos en la galería principal del MCBA durante la Bienal del Libro de Artista, Book Art Biennial 2013.
