Art might be a key to the understanding of our reality or at least a correlative source of fertilization in its formation process, but it might also be a tool for continued development and humanization.
The importance of art and its contents have shifted. At the moment it is a financially strong share with an invisible date of expiry and partially boring aesthetic demands, mostly without any participation in social or societal criticism.
Obviously not every artist feels a call to political or societal provocation; however, it may be regarded as a disappointment that the most important protagonists in this country feel the call to become silence artists.
This exhibition shows that artists are able to comment on society, church, politics etc. with very subtle empathy and great esprit.
Works from the fields of painting, sculpture and photography as well as media works will be on display.
